NEED

The Rescue Mission needed a new way of communicating the important work they were doing to help current and potential financial supporters get closer to how lives are transformed through the organization’s work.

APPROACH

We created a 26-minute documentary following the triumphs and struggles of a group of recovering meth, crack and alcohol addicts training for the Colfax Marathon though the Rescue Mission’s “New Life” rehab program. Titled “Fall Away” based on a song written by team captain Nick Sterner for his son, also a team member going through the program, we followed individuals on the team for over four months to hear their stories of addiction and how the Rescue Mission is helping to literally save their lives. (The version of the film shown here is shortened from the full edit.)
